McKinney Wins on First Ballot at Green Party ConventionJuly 12th, 2008 Thanks to blogger Ronald Hardy at http://www.greenpartywatch.org, as well as http://www.greensforgreens.org, the results of the roll call at the Green Party national convention in Chicago are known now: Cynthia McKinney 313 Rosa Clemente was chosen vice-presidential nominee by a show of hands. She is the first person of Puerto Rican background to run for president or vice-president in a general election. No votes were cast from these 12 states: Alabama, Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, or Vermont. At the 2004 Green national convention, seven states did not participate: Alaska, Kentucky, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming. |

one World, under the sky, undividable
with harmony and balance for all.
