I just found out that my 16-year-old daughter, who lives very far away from me, spent 5 hours in the hospital today as a result of severe pain. Tests revealed she had a ruptured ovarian cyst.

She had been to the doctor for her annual several weeks ago and had complained of the pain she had been experiencing. The doctor indicated it might be her appendix????
I’m not sure why they didn’t test for this. Now I am extremely worried.

I would be worried too. You would think that ovarian pain is a little bit different location then an appendix.
Today Emily was still in pain and got sick from her pain medication. She will call the doctor tomorrow to get fully checked out.
I am glad she is going tomorrow.
