Technorati

If you haven’t checked out Technorati yet, do. It is interesting to see how peoples’ blogs rank and who links to them. My good friend Jenni, of Jen’s Green Journal ranks
2nd for Salt Lake City and 8th for Utah.

My registry is still being ranked, so I’m not ranked very high. I am ranked 16th for Salt Lake City.
It’s a great way to get your blog known more and see what other blogs are out there.

  1. Since they changed the domain names my rating is going down. A few days ago I was 1st for Salt Lake and 7th for Utah. I’ve made another profile for the new domain name but tt’s way back there. I’m kind of bummed that I’ll have to slowly climb back up with the new name, since it’s rating system depends on how many times and places you are linked from other blogs, and most of those have the old domain in the link.

  2. Yeah, I understand. Think of how I feel – technorati keeps having statements about my blog that I updated it 3 days ago when I updated it hours ago! I’m still in the one millions even though I registered 1 week ago! I think it’s weird, myself.

  3. Did you register it under the old or new domain name? I don’t show that I’ve updated for several days on the old names, even though I keep pinging it.

  4. I registered it under the new one, which is why it’s perplexing. I keep pinging also.
