Big Brother is Watching

Sgt. Gehlen from the U.S. Central Command public Affairs has posted a reply to the post I made this morning about the 3rd anniversary of George W. Bush declaring the Iraq conflict as “Mission Accomplished”. He has graciously pointed me and my readers to CENTCOM for the most accurate and up to date figures on the war on terrorism.

Among the links on the CENTCOM site are:
What Extremists Are Saying
Heroes in Action
Afghanistan
Iraq

Thank you for this additional source of information to further my education and understanding on this issue.

  1. Honesty
If you would be intellectually honest with your readers, you would actually place a link to the Centcom website. You would be able to read for yourself how much we are doing for Iraqis in terms of infrastructural, economic, health care, education, and security improvements. Do you think that Iraqi people were benefitting under the grip of Baathist terrorism courtesy of the Husseins? Don’t you think that ending that regime saved untold lives?
There is plenty of evidence to show that Iraq under Hussein aided and abetted terrorism. Iraq under Saddam used poisonous gas on the Kurds. There is photographic evidence of dead Kurdish men, women, children, pets and farm animals gassed by Saddam’s military.
The world sanctioned the removal of Saddam because of all of this. The UN sanctioned the removal of Saddam.
It’s really a shame that some people don’t understand how dangerous the world can be and that there will always be people like Saddam, who left unchecked will engage in horrific things if left unchecked. Evil exists when good people do nothing.
Freedom and liberty exist because a few good people are willing to do what it takes, get their hands dirty and do the heavy lifting to get rid of regimes like those of Saddam Hussein and then step in with compassion to rebuild their societys and give them hope for freedom, equality, opportunity and a hope for a better future.

Dear “Anonymous” (first names would be nice):
You must have missed the link I created in the first paragraph. Please reread it and note the link that I provided when I wrote this post.
I would like to see your claims substantiated, i.e. “the world sanctioned all of this.” and “The UN sanctioned the removal of Saddam Hussein.” Please provide the UN resolution that sanctioned that. Also, the world was deceived by the the U.S. government as to the reasons for invading iraq. Weapons of Mass Destruction? Where are they? It has been proven that Saddam Hussein had no ties to al queda, the extremist group blamed for the 9-1-1 disaster. Yet Americans have been led to beleive that Iraq was in some way connected to that horrible event.
