THREE YEARS TOO MANY!!!

This weekend’s forcast isn’t exactly rally-going weather…just bring your warm clothes, umbrellas, raincoats and VOICES!! Here is a schedule of events beginning tomorrow and going through Monday:

Friday, March 17, 2006 – Noon until 1PM: United Steelworkers Local 12-578 Solidarity Rally
In front of the Flying J Refinery
333 West Center North Salt Lake
Refinery workers organized into USW Local 12-578 invite you to stand in solidarity with them in their fight for a contract in line with national oil bargaining. Flying J seems to be intent on trying to present a contract that is not in agreement with what other oil workers in the Salt Lake valley and oil workers nationally have accepted. Please stand in solidarity with them in their fight for economic justice.
Our watch word should be an injury to one is an injury to all. Solidarity Forever.
No More Concessions
No Steps Backward
Yes to the National Oil Bargaining Agreement

Protest the National Petroleum Refiners Association Conference

Tha National Petroleum Refiners Association (NPRA) begins a conference March 17th at The Grand America ( owned by Earl Holding of Sinclair Oil fame). The overall agenda is skiing and fine dining; however the general assembly is Monday the 20th. Orrin Hatch is scheduled to speak.

To be clear, these will be representatives of the oil industry; Exxon Mobile, Conoco Phillips, Chevron Texaco and the list goes on.

Don’t let these greedy and arrogant people slither in and out of Salt Lake City without notice!

It is particularly disturbing they are meeting on the third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

Come stand in front of the Grand America Hotel at 11AM March 20th.
