$1 billion surplus in Utah budget
I would like to see this budget surplus used to increase funding for mass transportation, provide funding and other incentives for development of sustainable energy resources (such as appropriate scale wind and solar development) and to more adequately fund education in Utah.
I am opposed to tax cuts, the soon to be obsoleted (thru rising gasoline prices) Legacy Parkway, and any other shortsighted, favor the already wealthy proposals that are currently on the table.
1/2 goes to mass transit.
None goes to roads.
The rest is given back to the people. It’s not “the State’s” money.
