Here are proposals that have been voted on or are currently under discussion recently in the GPUS:

Under discussion:
Proposal 1922006 Proposed Budget – sponsored by the GPUS Finance Committee, seeks approval of the 2006 GPUS Budget.

Proposal 193Policies and Procedures of the Green Party Annual National Meeting Committee – sponsored by the GPUS Annual National Meeting Committee, defines the mission, protocol and delegate ethics at National Meetings.

Proposal 195Establishment of GPUS EcoAction Committee – Sponsored by Green Party of Minnesota, seeks to form a committee to facilitate the planning and achievement of eco-justice action proposals adopted by the Green Party, to support and promote the Party’s eco-justice candidates, platform, and agenda, and to promote and lobby for responsible government stewardship of the Earth and its inhabitants.

Proposal 196Approval of the GPUS Platform Committee Updated Rules, Policies and Procedures – sponsored by the GPUS Platform Committee, seeks to revise the rules, policies and procedures it the GPUS platform in areas such as membership and voting, meetings, and decision-making.

Proposal 194Implementation Proposal for the SevignyOlson joint proposal – sponsored by the Green Party of California, seeks to fill the vacant seat on the GPUS Steering Committee by voting for two delegates to fill that seat and each share 1/2 the vote.

Recent voted on proposals:
Proposal 191Bylaws Amendment to Clarify Affiliation Agreement– sponsored by the Wisconsin Green Party, sought to redefine the affiliation requirement for states to be members of the federation of states known as the GPUS. The proposal need a 2/3 majority to pass, due to it being a bylaws change, and did not achieve that so the proposal failed.

Proposal 190Divestment from Israel for Human Rights – sponsored by the Wisconsin Green Party, sought to, among other things, publicly call for divestment from and boycott of the State of Israel until such time as the full individual and collective rights of the Palestinian people are realized.
The proposal was adopted.

Proposal 188Co-chair Election Cancellation – sponsored by the Green Party of California, sought to cancel the co-chair election until the Green National Committee first makes a decision on the Tom Sevigny and Kristen Olson joint proposal. The proposal was adopted.

Proposal 187National Committee Support of Steering Committee – sponsored by the Illinois Green Party, sought to declare a vote of confidence in its democratically elected Steering Committee, with particular support declared for its decision to call for the co-chair vacancy election. The proposal was adopted.

Proposal 186Proposed Listserv Protocol for Delegates Discussion and Votes Lists – sponsored by Green Parties of Utah, Indiana, Iowa, ,a href=”http://www.ppmo.org/”>Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Maine– sought to define list serve protcol on the national delegate discussion lists. The proposal was adopted.
