I found one article in the Frederick News Post which barely even mentions Joanne.
Ken Sain has an article on Joanne at his blog.

It took me awhile this morning, but I finally found something on the elections in my hometown county of Maryland.
Yesterday was the election for Mayor and Board of Alderman in Frederick City, Maryland.
I have been providing updates on Joanne Ivancic‘s campaign for Frederick City Board of Alderman. She is the first person from a third party to run for office there in decades.
Today’s WHAG, a Hagerstown NBC affiliate, reported on the race. It looks like Joanne didn’t get in, and I still do not have information on her totals.
The mayoral position was conceded by long time politician Ron Young (he was a 4-term mayor when I was younger) to Republican Jeff Holtzinger. However, the Board of Alderman will be democrat controlled with three out of the five positions having dems elected to them.
Here is the good news: The first openly gay person was elected to the Board of Alderman, David Koontz, a democrat.
I will provide an update as soon as I find out. It looks like the local papers there take their time getting things online.
