“The corporate-powered parties are not gonna do it for us, not the greater or the lesser evil. We have to do it for ourselves. And the minute we stand up and stand together, we are unstoppable.” ~ Dr. Jill Stein
I recently revived my membership with the Green Party of Utah
after peripheral involvement in the discussion group on Facebook and in discussion with other members, since summer of 2016. I am truly excited to become involved again and appreciate all the energy that the organizers have brought forth in revitalizing a party that our state desperately needs.
I have long believed in, and lived, the platform of the Green Party. I first joined the Green Party of Utah in 2001. In the mid-2000’s I served as the state co-chair of the GPUT. I ran for Salt Lake County Council At-Large in 2006 on the Green Party of Utah ticket. I was also a Delegate to the National Committee (NC) of the GPUS (representing the GPUT), served on the GPUS Green Party Peace Action Network as co-chair, and served as secretary of the Eco-Action Committee. I am presently a co-founder of Green Party Peace Action Network (GPPN). I developed, and have maintained, lasting relationships with many GPUS colleagues and friends across the country.
I truly believe that the Green Party is currently the only party with a platform that will move our world in a sustainable direction with respect to all life on the planet. I will be posting more on my GP activities.
